Priyanka & Akshay

Venue: Leela Palace, Gurgaon/Gurugram, India

Photographer: Nandkishore, Gowtham, Charan

Cinematographer: Rohit, Loga, Vishwas

Event Planner: Discovery Events

In hindsight, this one is a thriller!

We met Priyanka aka Raju, while shooting for Prekshas wedding during covid times.

After a brief spell, we heard back from a common friend and the wedding planner for both of them Yash Gandhi from Discovery events.

While everything seems irrelevant until now, all of them played an important role in getting us all along. So a big thank you before I start off with the love story with love, laughter and drama. Let me break it down for you.

Act I

Priyanka and Akshay met in an acting class in Andheri West (Location is important in this one)

While Priyanka liked the person Akshay was, he always found her to be just a good friend. Regardless there was never a roadblock in this one.

Their friendship blossomed during the course of practice at Barry John's Acting School.

Act II

Everything took a turn on this fine morning of Rakhshabandhan that year.

Priyanka asked Akshay if she could tie him a rakhi.

When I heard this, I was as confused as Akshay would be.

Akshay said yes and got this act through. The whole act hit Priyanka really hard and some repercussions made their way through to him as well. Akshay being the witty human he is, laughed it all off. While Priyanka had made her point, she liked him a bunch and hadn't been able to reach out with her whole heart.

The journey continued and no love was ever lost, only some more twists were added. Like Priyanka traveling all the way back to drop our witty human, one too many times. She wrote a song for him and then she recorded another one for him for his birthday. The list of things continued until they parted ways as Akshay moved to another city for work.

Act III

“When in love, Distance really doesn't matter. If you want it to work, you will make it work”

- Seby (Preksha’s Husband, BFF)

A gesture that big can make the toughest of guys wonder, what good did they do to be this lucky? After a short stint in Delhi, the two got back in touch. Well, both agreed to the part that it was like they had never been apart.

A few steps later we got in touch during the covid wedding and all of us have never been apart. The wedding was a grand celebration with people coming from around the world to celebrate their beautiful day.

Our best, biggest and favorite part of the wedding was their sangeet night.

All of the family and friends, regardless of age, distance & different time zones of existence came all along in a surprise performance for the couple to end the night.

We have added a glimpse of that moment, let us know when you spot it.

Lots of love and specifically thanks to
